An excavator, also known as a digging machine or a backhoe, is a type of earthmoving machinery that uses a bucket to excavate materials that are higher or lower than the machine's base, and then loads them into transport vehicles or dumps them at a disposal site. The materials excavated by an excavator mainly include soil, coal, sand, and soil that has been pre-tilted as well as rocks. From the development of construction machinery in recent years, the excavator has developed relatively rapidly, and it has become one of the most important construction machinery in engineering projects. The three most important parameters of an excavator are: operating weight (mass), engine power, and bucket capacity.
