未标题-33

Definition of truck crane: A type of crane mounted on an ordinary or specially designed truck chassis, with the driver's cab and the lifting control room separated. It is the most produced and widely used type of crane. It is also commonly referred to as a truck crane in society.

Definition of tire crane: A mobile boom rotating crane that moves on a tire-based chassis. The crane structure is installed on a specially designed chassis composed of a heavy-duty tire and wheel axles. It is a fully rotating crane suitable for mobile operations and widely used.

Construction composition

Car crane construction: Mainly consists of lifting, luffing, rotating, boom, and truck chassis. For cranes with a capacity of less than 16 tons, a lifting display is required; for cranes with a capacity of 16 tons or more, a torque limiter is installed, and there is an alarm device.

Tire crane construction: It consists of an upper vehicle and a lower vehicle. The upper vehicle is the lifting operation part, equipped with a boom, lifting mechanism, luffing mechanism, balance weight, and turntable, etc.; the lower vehicle is the supporting and traveling part. The upper and lower vehicles are connected by a slewing bearing.

Appearance design

Appearance design of truck crane: The chassis performance is equivalent to that of a heavy-duty truck with the same load capacity, meeting the technical requirements of road vehicles. The number of axles of the chassis (2 to 10) is usually dependent on the tires to travel and pass on various roads.

Appearance design of tire crane: The upper structure is basically the same as that of a crawler crane. To ensure the stability of the crane body during installation, the crane is equipped with four telescopic legs.

Differences between truck crane and tire crane

Performance advantages of truck crane: It has the driving performance of a heavy-duty truck, fast speed, flexible transfer, and can travel on various roads; the supply of truck chassis and its parts is relatively convenient; the lifting capacity range is wide, usually: 8 tons to 1600 tons.

Performance advantages of tire crane: Flexible operation, good maneuverability, can work within a 360° range, good stability; when the lifting capacity is small, it can operate without leg support and can also travel with load.

Equipment disadvantages

Disadvantages of truck crane: It must be supported with legs when working, cannot travel with load, and is not suitable for operations on soft or muddy weak ground.

Disadvantages of tire crane: It has particularly high requirements for the road surface when traveling, has a relatively slow speed, and is not suitable for operations on soft and muddy ground.
